"X-Treme" Boy Card
As I was looking through my card stash I realized I'm out of male/boy birthday cards. So, I took Allisa's great sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and made this beauty! My son is almost 10 and the "it" gifts are iTunes or Game Stop gift cards so I thought this theme fit the bill.
I used the fun Later Sk8r paper and combined retired stamp set, X-Treme, with some of the words in the Card Word Puzzle Set. If you like the X-Treme set check out Powder Heaven or In Gear for comparable replacement. I finished the card off with a little glitter paper for some added interest. See, boy cards can have a little bling too!
Thanks for looking!
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Later Sk8r, Pear Carstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Silver Glitter Paper
Stamps: X-Treme (D1432), Card Word Puzzle (C1494)
Ink: Pear, Slate, Outdoor Denim

Clean & Simple Birthday Card
Here is a quick birthday card I made for my daughter's friend who just turned 7. I used Pattern 20 from Make It From Your Heart, Volume 1 and kept the card pretty similar to the example in the book.
The stamp set is Look Who's... which has several images that coordinate with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. The set also includes numbers 1 - 0 so you can customize your greeting to whatever age is necessary. This is a great card to mass produce...just leave out the number and when you are ready fill it in with whatever birthday you need!
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Claire Level 2, Colonial White Cardstock, Blush Cardstock
Stamps: Look Who's...
Ink: Hollyhock, Outdoor Denim
Other: Sanding Block, Embossing Stylus, Value Pack Colonial White Cards & Envelopes

Project Life Week 6
I kept this one pretty simple and flat which of course made it very quick and easy! Note, feel free to click on the picture for a detailed view.

I'm really enjoying playing with text on my photos! It's such an easy way to tell your story. The journal card is from the Project Life Kit. I used the Pixie Glitter Alphabet Stickers and my Metallic Marker to add the date.
I tried writing directly on the photo with the Metallic Marker. It worked beautifully and didn't smear but the tip was a little large for my liking.

I forgot to take a picture of the yummy dinner we had so I found a photo of the exact recipe (I forgot to save the source info so sorry to the person who took the photo). Everyone loved the meal so I included the ingredients on the photo. See, told you I was having fun with text!
Thanks for checking it out!

Project Life Update & Week 5
My crafty time has been limited to just a few hours each weekend so I haven't been as on top of my Project Life Album as I wanted. That's OK though because this system is great for playing catch up!
A few weeks ago Project Life was featured on HSN with a special buy. I told myself I wasn't going to do it but I ended up caving and getting the Jade Edition. I'm still stamping on my cards but as I play catch-up I am relying on Project Life card designs a bit more.
I love that my CTMH inks and paper coordinate so beautifully with this set. For these pages I used the Lots of Dots Alphabet stickers colored with Honey Marker. It's a perfect match! I also embellished my photos with the Color Ready Noted Canvas Shapes and the new Keyboard Kraft Alphabet stickers. Fun and easy...just the way I like it!

Freshly Made Sketch #82
This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches stumped me a bit but once I got to playing my card came together rather quickly!
The paper and stamp came from the Buzz & Bumble Workshop On The Go. I'm not a huge fan of bumble bees but this set has some fantastic pattern papers that are fitting for several seasons and both males and females!
The flower on this card was from an old Bohemian Assortment that included colonial white crochet flowers and rustic buttons. The colonial white color didn't match my card so I colored it with my Sunset marker! A little hemp on my button and some brown and tan sparkles finish off my card!
Thanks for checking it out.
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Buzz & Bumble, Bamboo Cardstock, Colonial White Cardstock, Cocoa Cardstock
Stamps: Buzz & Bumble Scrapbook WOTG
Ink: Cocoa, Sunset
Other: Corner Rounder, Hemp, Bohemian Assortment, Glue Dots, Brown & Tan Sparkles

Art Tip! This banner only uses one type of Cricut® shape, but the finished product is still stunning. Use stamp kissing to randomly stamp across the pieces using the stamp set of your choice. Score with the help of the Cricut®-cut score lines on the shape and piece together to create little globes. Tie together with baker’s twine and voila!

Art Tip! This project uses many Cricut® shapes and all the pieces coordinate so nicely for an adorable finished product. Use the Artiste assembly booklet to put the bag together and then add the embellishments. The feathers are created with punched circles that are stamped using the kissing technique; however, if you don’t have the circle punch, you can easily make these using the Cricut as well. The eyes were created using Shimmer designer brads, but you can use any large brad or button to create the same look. Finish with the “owl miss you sentiment” for a special touch.
Be sure to share these tips with your customers! The owl bag and party banner are great projects to create at a workshop or club.
It’s a Cricut® party! If you'd like to purchase any of the items needed to make these adorable projects please visit my website HERE.
