March Creative Club

Saturday, March 14th at 10 am I will be hosting the next Creative Club! This month we will feature the Hopscotch paper pack to make some adorable Easter projects!

I'll show you how to transform basic shapes from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge into a sweet treat bag anyone would love to receive!

This class is only $5 and will include everything you need to make the project AND full color instructions to make more at home. As always, any CTMH purchase of $25 or more will earn you the class for free!

Happy Spring Card

Today's card is based on Freshly Made Sketches #175.

The border on the card front is courtesy of the Sunset Chevron washi tape. The clouds were cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. The hot air balloon was stamped in black ink and colored with a variety of ShinHan Touch Markers.

Supplies Used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):

Paper: Indian Blue Cardstock, Glacier Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Hopscotch Paper

Ink: Black

Stamp: Hopping By (D1633)

February Card-A-Thon Class

On Saturday, Feb 7 at 10 am I will be hosting another Card-A-Thon class! I love these classes and hope you'll be able to join me! This month's Card-A-Thon theme is A Year of Cards. I've designed 12 different cards for you to choose from all based on a holiday for each month of the year. I'll be sharing all the cards throughout the week but here's a sampling of what's available to choose from:

Here's how it works...you'll have two hours to make as many cards as you can! Everything will be pre-cut and ready to make. Simply take each card box to your station and create! If you like a particular card feel free to make more of it (just be mindful of others who may want to make it as well). The only "rule" is that you must completely finish the card before moving on to the next one. The only supplies you'll need are your adhesive and VersaMat. The cost for this class is $15 or free with any $50 CTMH order!

Religious Easter Card

It's been awhile since I've been in my craft room and boy does it feel good to create! The minute I saw this week's Freshly Made Sketch I knew exactly what I wanted to do! This card is going to my Grandma.

To make this card I embossed a piece of Colonial White Cardstock using the Quatrefoil Embossing plate and rounded the top two corners with my corner rounder. Next I stamped the cross in Chocolate Ink and added it to the card with 3D Foam Tape. Before I adhered the top of the cross I added a piece of coordinating purple ribbon from my stash.

The stamp is from Greatest Love (B1444). It has beautiful religious sentiments that I think would work well for both Easter or sympathy cards.

 

 I hope my Grandma likes it! Thanks for checking it out.

Everything ABC's Blog Hop - E

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter 'E'. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. For this hop I'm focusing on the fun and super easy Easter Bunny Box from the Aritste Cricut Cartridge, one of the many items I'll have available for sale at an upcoming Spring Craft Fair!

When I first got this cartridge I was a bit intimidated by making some of these boxes. Now that I've made them I'm not sure why. They really are super easy!

Here's how to make them:

• Select Accent 1 and the <Spring> key on page 73. Set your dial size to 2 1/2" (make sure Real Dial Size is NOT set (if it is you'll get a tiny little box). Cut.
• The box already has score marks but I recommend using a bone folder and ruler to get a nice even line.
• Simply fold in the tabs, get your bunnies together and then slide the notched edges over the bunny! That's it...no adhesive required on this bad boy!

Now's the fun part...decorating. You can do a variety of things with this box. Here are a few examples of what I've done below:

For the pattern boxes I kept the embellishments very simple by adding the Spring sentiment from the Artiste Cartridge (p. 73, shift + <Easter> at 1").

For the cardstock boxes I cut several grass pieces out of green pattern cardstock (p. 73, shift + Accent 3 at 1"), trimming and adding around the box. 

The little bows also come from the Artiste Cartridge (p. Accent 3 + <g> p. 56 at 1/4"). The bow is perfect to use with brads but my stubby fingers were having trouble adding them to these small cuts. Instead I used a glue dot to fasten to the box and then added some adhesive gems!

It might be hard to tell in the photo but I also added Liquid Applique to the bunny tails. Once dry it "puffs" up giving my bunnies a fuzzy little backside!
