1 Card Sketch 2 Ways

August Card Club Finished Project
The other day I showed you the card box my card club made. Today I want to show you the cards we put inside. First we started out with this card sketch (be kind it's my first posted sketch!):

The first card pretty much stuck exactly to the card sketch.

To give the butterfly some depth I stamped it twice on pattern paper using the Fill In the Blank stamp set. Then I gently bent the wings and popped up one of the butterflies with 3-D foam tape, placing it directly on top of the other image. Sort of gives it the look of a flying butterfly right? I also added some clear Bitty Sparkles to the butterfly.

I changed the 2nd card by rotating the sketch 90 degrees for a vertical orientation. I followed the same process above for the butterfly but angled it to the side of the matting. And, as you can see I knotted my ribbon for a little something extra.

To complete my project I dressed up my envelopes a bit by stamping a smaller butterfly image on the outside and lined the insides of my envelopes with coordinating paper. Here's the template I used to line the envelopes.

Hope you enjoy. I'd love to know what you thought!

Note Card Box

I was so inspired by this post from fellow consultant, Lisa, Stenz, that I had to run out and make a version all for myself! As you can tell I simplified my version a bit and used the now retired Bliss paper.

The flower and metal butterfly are from the coordinating Bliss embellishments pack. The flower was pre-made so adding it was a cinch with a glue dot. I love the dimension it brings to the box!

This also happens to be part of the project my August Card Club is making. Stay tuned for another post showing the cards and finished product!

If you are interested in joining me for a future club night send me an email at handmadefromtheheart@gmail.com. If you aren't in the area I will gladly prepare a club kit for you with detailed directions and lots of color photos!

Want to make your own? Leave me a comment with your email address and I will send you directions!

Art Philosophy Cricut Images Revealed & Special Offer

If you've been wondering what the heck is on the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge wait no more! I'm not sure if I've mentioned this already but there are 700 images on the cartridge. No joke! And, I'm not talking 30 base images cut in every possible size allowed. I really mean 700 images...all on one cartridge. Crazy right?!

Here's some trivia for you. Did you know that on a 12" x 12" mat on the Cricut Expression, you can cut almost every image in 47 different sizes? That's almost 33,000 options! Now think about what you could get out of a 12" x 24" mat!

For all you punch fanatics (and yes, I have my fair share too!), can you image how much 33,000 punches would cost? What about the storage space you'd need? While I'm blessed to have a dedicated scrap room I know I don't have that much space!

Did you notice the shapes include boxes, bags, tags, banners, borders, font, cards, envelopes, flowers (3-D and flats)? Oh, and every image outlined in red in the Fall/Winter Idea Book coordinates with a cricut shape!

Here's what's included in the package:
  • Art Philosophy Cartridge
  • 3 exclusive D-size stamp sets
  • 3 sets of Dimensional Elements

That's a retail value of $120 for just $99! Stamp on your Cricut shapes, cover your Dimensional Elements with a Cricut shape, or cut, stamp, and then cover!

Stay tuned (or go to the Monthly Specials page) on how you can combine this purchase with the awesome CTMH's promotions going on. Not only can you get everything here but starting August 15 you can get an additional 2 stamp sets FREE and if you combine it with the monthly Stamp of the Month you would get another stamp set FREE.

In case you've lost track, starting Aug 15, when you purchase the Art Philosophy Cartridge AND the stamp of the month, you will receive a total of 7 stamp sets, 1 cricut cartridge, and 3 sets of Dimensional Elements for only $105 (plus shipping/tax)!

Email me before Aug 15 and pre-order the Art Philosophy Cartridge and SOTM and I will send you a new Idea Book Free and an extra special item from the catalog!

My own cartridge can't get her fast enough!!! I want to play so badly.

New Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book

The New Autumn/Winter 2011 is here! In the 1 1/2 years I've been a consultant I can honestly say this is probably my favorite one yet! It is larger, has more artwork, has the stamp sets shown at 100%, has TONS of fabulous new products, and is available for you to get your very own copy right now!

You can view the Idea Book online here, or you can contact me and I will be happy to send you one. The Idea Book is FREE and I ask that you pay $5 to cover the shipping. However, you will also get a $5 coupon to spend on y our next order, so basically it will cost you nothing!

I can't wait to share all the amazing new products with you. Of course there are tons of new paper collections and new stamp sets, along with lots of wonderful new embellishments. And, if you've been reading my blog you already know about the exclusive Cricut cartridge, Art Philosophy! I'm still waiting for my shipment to arrive so I can start playing but I've had the advantage of the consultant bulletin board and have seen some amazing things! This is the most all-inclusive cartridge I think I have ever seen! it has EVERYTHING including boxes, bags, tags, tons of different card stapes, envelopes, banners, a font, flowers (flat and 3D), and TONS of images that coordinate with our stamp sets! All I have to say is SCISSORS BE GONE!! No more cutting intricate shapes. Just select the size of the shape that is shown on the stamp set carrier sheet and your Cricut will cut as many as you like. Then just stamp your image directly on the die cut image. Sooooo much faster, simpler, and easier!

I just had to share this adorable project made with the cricut cartridge. Thank you Lisa Stenz for sharing it with us!

If you are interested in ordering this fun new product, or any of the other new products, click here or contact me for more information. Want to get the Art Philosophy cartridge at 50% off?? Host a catalog part with your friends and you can with qualifying orders!! You don't have to be local for that!
