Beach Layout

During our recent Hawaiin vacation we had the opportunity to visit Turtle Bay in Oahu's North Shore. The views were spectacular and seeing the turtles up close and personal was AMAZING!

The Footloose WOTG layout was absolutely perfect to capture this event. The stamp set that's included with the kit has this fabulous turtle stamp. I can't wait to get the photos printed and put on this layout!!! Here are a few photos from the trip.

P.S. If you are a Lost fan the hut that was used in many of the scenes was just a couple hundred feet away. I never really watched the show but I had to take a photo for my some of my co-workers who were big fans.

Coming Home Wall Art

I couldn't part with the outfits my kids came home from the hospital in so I decided to preserve them in a frame. The frame is 12 x 12 and was purchased at Michael's during one of their many frame sales.

I attached the outfit with glue dots and added little stamped embellishments to give it extra flair. I love how it turned out and look forward to doing the other two!

This was an inexpensive  project to make but the memories are priceless! You can click on the pictures for a closer look.

Layering A Card Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month we are highlighting the “Layering A Card” Technique as shown on page 33 in the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book!  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

We would love to see what you’ve created using this month’s technique, please visit our challenge blog at http://technicallyterrific.blogspot.com where you can share your project and be entered in a chance to win great prizes.  You will also find a listing of all participants and their blog addresses if you should get lost or want to reference a blog along the way.  Let’s get started!

If you are coming from Bethany's Blog, you are on the right track!

For my card I started out by cutting the flower card from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge at 4". I trimmed the card so that I used only the card front. Using scraps of White Daisy, Garden Green and Buttercup Cardstock I stamped images from the April SOTM in contrasting ink colors. I added those pieces to a scrap of White Daisy Cardstock and then used 3D Foam tape to pop it up and give it some dimension. I finished the outside of the card with a piece of ribbon and some Mocha Pearls.

Not one to waste I used the negative images from the cricut flowers to decorate the inside of my card! The finished card size is A2 ( 4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

Supply List:
Paper: Stella Level 2, Sunset Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Garden Green Cardstock, Buttercup Cardstock
Stamps: April SOTM
Ink: Creme Brulee, New England Ivy, Cocoa, Sunset
Other: Mocha Pearls, Ribbon, Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto Judy's's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Happy hopping!
