Just Married Card

Here's a simple, but blingy, wedding card I made to celebrate my cousin's recent nuptials! The paper pack is called Heartstrings and is only available until the end of this month.

I hope the newlyweds like it!

Vinyl Glass Block Class

I've received a lot of positive feedback with my lighted glass blocks and am now offering it as a class! If you are in the Northern VA area please join me on November 22 at 10 am to make either the "Welcome Scroll" or "Split Monogram*" glass block!

These blocks are perfect additions to your home decor or make great gifts for family, friends, and teachers!

*The full alphabet is available for the monogram option. Please specify name preference when you RSVP. (I'm working on creating a photo of the full monogram alphabet and will edit this post when I have it available.)

This class will include the following:

• (1) pre-frosted 8" x 8" glass block
• (1) set of 20 plug in lights
• pre-designed vinyl in your choice of either "Welcome Scroll" OR "Split Monogram" 
• Transfer tape
• Use of my Cricut Machine and Cricut tools

The scroll and monogram will be cut in black and you will have a limited selection of color vinyl colors to choose from for the interior words.

Black & White Wedding Card

My cousin recently got married and I needed a card for the special event. 

This one is based on Freshly Made Sketch #142. I kept it simple with only a pop of red punched flowers to accent the cake. The stamp set is called the Happy Couple and is perfect for weddings or anniversary cards!

I think every card needs a bit of bling so I added some using the black and grey sparkle assortment to each flower.The finished card is 5" x 7".

Another Wedding Card

Here's another wedding card I recently made. It's similar to one I made earlier this year and was a second option I made for a recent customer. I love this card pattern and how easily it comes together!

I couldn't forget the inside of the card. The sentiment is hard to read but it says "Celebrate Love."

Cricut Wedding Card

I've been wanting to try the card feature on the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge for some time now. So, when I was asked to make a wedding card I was instantly inspired by this one from Jeannette Lynton's Shape-A-Day blog posts.

For this card I used the Card Feature on page 35 to cut <Rctngle5>. I wanted this card to be 5 x 7 so in order to get it as close as possible I set my Cricut at 6 3/4" (it took about 3 cuts to figure that one out).

For the card front border I used the Layer Feature on p. 35 <Rctngle5>. It's a hair smaller than the cut-out on the card so I made this cut twice and "sandwiched" the cutout on both sides of the card.

My customer loved it and so do I!

5 x 7 Wedding Card

My cousin is getting married this month but unfortunately we couldn't make it to Michigan for her big day. So, what's the next best thing to do? Send a card of course! The inspiration for this card came from the colors and design the invitation itself.

Here is the wedding card I sent. It's hard to see in the picture but there is the same color blue in the inside pattern as well. This card is based on the Wishes Pattern, 3 Tier and was made with all cardstock.

Wedding Invitations

I was recently asked to make some wedding invitation samples for my co-worker and his fiance. The only criteria I had were they had to be ivory and simple yet elegant. Here are the three options I came up with:

1. Stamped Border

2. Flourish

3. Embossed Top/Bottom Border - this one was really hard to photograph but there is a pearl sheen on the embossed parts.

My favorite is #1, the stamped border. What do you think? Did I give them what they asked for?
